today was one of the best birthdays i've ever had. we went to school in our civvies, which was cool, and the youth day celebration meant we missed physics prac.! anyways, scouts was ok, where i was introduced as the Scribe by mistake. first meeting as the new Dragon Patrol and i dare say we did a pretty decent job. we cabbed to scgs at 1730, then stopped at KAP to get Macs. the taxi driver let us, which was pretty cool. when we got out, vince and clifford threw their bags out onto the grass and literally jumped out of the cab, which was really funny, cos all the SC girls were like staring. we then rehearsed for the big show. sorry i've got no vid but the actual thing was AMAZING. we improvised from the mess-ups and ended up winning Best Item. jasper did his usual six step and sidefreeze, cliff did his handstands, while dwayne and cliff spammed power moves. song and i did a popping duo, with me doing the moonwalk and he doing the waves. since it was song's last dance, he went to collect the prize. we took pictures and went to serene centre for supper, where we relived a few funny moments and just bonded, which was really fun. our next major performance is at the RI O2 campfire, on their home turf, where we will hopefully beat them on the 22nd July. but for now, we're all really happy.

the quote for the day is ' Dancing with the feet is one thing, but dancing with the heart is another'. peace.

short post today. school was fun, with P.E! now that we don't have to run anymore, i like it cos we get games! i love the outdoors. we then had geog, which was ok, and i shall fast forward to the session, where song hit us with the best dance moves i've ever seen. his body was like flowing with the beat, and the movements were so simple, yet complicated. all this was in preparation for tomorrow's campfire, where we hope to win Best Item. Upon seeing our item, our rivals will turn green with envy and white with fear. haha.i was like lagging behind at first, then we got better, and hopefully we'll live up to our name tomorrow. i'll upload the video to youtube and you guys can check it out!

today's quote is from my pastor: ' God may close a door on you, but open a bigger and better one in return'. for all the scouts who didn't become what they wanted to be, it happened for a reason, and i'm sure He has better things in store for you. so don't fret, and just relax and He will open that door.

It's that time of the day again. Today was really eventful. I made copper(2) sulphate crystals, and they were pretty:). that sounded feminine. moving on. we got a new SS teacher called mr Kan. he seems cool. hopefully he's as cool in real life as we all think. after school we stayed back to practice for friday's performance. song is dancing for us, and his moves are like REALLY REALLY COOL. best toprock i've ever seen. then dwayne did his air chairs and sidefreezes, and i stuck to what i did best: moonwalking and botting. but before we could learn his moves, we left for the scout den to clean up, and to have an impromptu PLC. it turned out that the scout master was going to appoint the leaders. he gave us a pep talk about how there were not enough apples, which is actually a metaphor for not enough places. there are 7 people in the newest dragon patrol now, one of them being yours truly. i was really happy i got the Quartermaster post, cos i like doing that type of stuff, so i was quite happy.

now onto a topic for discussion. what is death? death is the removal of the old, and the beginning of the young. as i speak, all of us are dying now, some at a faster rate than others. as Steve Jobs said, death is nature's way of removing the old and bring in the new, the better, the faster, the stronger and the smarter. so when you wake up in the morning, and see yourself in the mirror, you should think 'if this is the last day of my life, would i live it like today?'. if your answer is yes, then good. but if it is always no, you have to search and find out what is it that you don't like doing, and change it. the saying 'live each day like you would live your last' is really stupid, cos then i would spend all my money and stuff. but it is true to a certain extent, and it basically says don't do what you don't like doing. that way, the job won't be done well, and you won't enjoy it. if you like doing something, you will do it well and enjoy it, and i think that's the way it should be. i actually had a lot of time to think about this, cos i finished my english assignment and was bored stiff. i hope you guys would leave comments after reading this yeah?

i will leave 2 quotes today. the first one is 'Life is like a rollercoaster; it has its ups and downs.' i got that from reader's digest, and i couldn't stop thinking about that lame pun. the real quote is 'Care not for the future, for the future can care for itself. Do not dwell in the past, lest you leave your heart there. Remain in the present, and be aware of the present, and then you can see into the future.' i got the last part from Qui Gon Jinn fro Star Wars, but i made the first part up through the course of the day. the past doesn't matter. the blame of the problem doesn't matter. the solution does. ciao!

Hello again, my adoring friends! I have been struggling to stay on my seat lately. I've got new school pants see, which are really slippery. As I sit on the chairs 2 legs, my butt keeps on slipping off, resulting in very uncomfortable postions and awkward stares. This also means I can't pay attention, which didn't matter anyway cos the classroom had no air con and i was surrounded by 35 hot and sweaty boys. it didn't smell like roses either. anyways, i was so lethargic i was dozing in and out of sleep during geog and e.maths. i was rejuvenated by recess, but only a bit. and then at bio, i TOTALLY forgot about the bio test, but luckily it was open book, so it was easy. i found out i won a merit award for some creative writing thing which is actually pretty cool, considering how little effort i put into it.

time for a change of subject. have you ever wanted to be in the 'in' crowd? i did once in primary school and it SUCKED. i went out of my way to try and be cool, and it just wasn;t worth it. now, i see many people around me trying to do so and realized that the 'in' crowd is usually a bunch of arrogant poseur boys who stand around and try to act cool, mouthing off other people and ignoring them if they feel like it. and the other people actually take this crap from them, and still want to be in. i guess that's the curse of the herd mentality and the desire for social acceptance. as for me, i'm just proud of the close friends i have that don;t succumb to this nonsense and wish other people wouldn't either.

i've also decided to leave a quote or a phrase everyday. so here's today's quote: 'Happiness is like peeing on yourself. Every one can see it, but only you can feel it's warmth.' I ripped it from a book, and i think it makes sense. remember to tag!

So i was thinking during geog today, i go through nicknames too fast! And most of my nicknames are actually my thoughts, so i decided to create one of these. I won't blog everyday, probably just a few times a week. i spent the whole of the geog period conceptualizing this idea and here it is. first post. I just realized that I have abandoned all my ideals that blogs are only a passing fad that will die down. Anyways, school just started and it's back to the hectic rat race again. The only reason I can look my teachers straight in the eyes without flinching is that I HAVE FINISHED ALL MY HOLIDAY HOMEWORK. Yesh, I have. It took me a lot of time to do so and I have done it. I've also realized that a lot of people I know are so angsty. It's 'I hate the world this, I hate the world that, nobody loves me, I feel so alone, goth goth punk punk rebel rebel'. It's getting so stereotypical to the point that if I see a real angsty person, I can't distinguish them from a poseur, speaking of which I also dislike. Again, it's gotten so bad that the poseurs are looked upon as 'cool' and the realy cool people are looked upon as 'poseurs'. Sigh. Let's all blame television. Tata!
