today was good. straight after chem we had recess, and we had a classes marathon for more than 5 hours straight with no breaks. how lovely. i didn't pay attention during a.maths at all, and just copied off the screen. we then had an e.maths test, which was, considering that i haven't been practicinglately, was reasonably easy. i then went for my english oral exam, where, in the waiting room, yujun did a 10 second handstand where he walked for 2m. we were all stunned. yujun never fails to surprise. for someone who WoWs from the time he gets home till the time he wakes up for school and gets 82 for physics, he's a bl**dy genius. ghost stories ensued, and that was quite fun. the exam went reasonably well, cos i didn't screw up anything in particular.
finally a topic of discussion. i just heard that the great grandaunt that i visited in hospital last saturday passed away this morning at 0630. that shocked me. as i was leaving for school, someone died. she's been saying she wanted to die for the past 7 months. she was suffering very badly, and her wish was finally granted. it was so fast. one day i saw her alive, and 4 days later she's dead. gone from the earth. but she was suffering. death could be the release for her. this brings me to my topic. should euthanization be allowed? if someone has lost the will to live, should he/she be killed? death would be welcomed, cos it's an escape from the pain. on the other hand, if we kill someone who has lost the will to live, aren't we playing god? what's to stop us from killing people with disabilities after that? where do we draw the line? soone, we may consider females 'genetically inferior' and start 'humanely euthanizing' them as well, or vice versa. something to think about huh? comment with your views. bye!
