today was quite eventful again.everything was ok till recess, where a fight broke out. the aggressor was beating the 'victim' savagely on the head, and i was the only prefect that witnessed it. how convenient. to fulfill my duties, i missed recess. i brought them both to see the prefect mistress, where they had to write an account of what happened. i then brought the injured to the matron, and then i had to write an account of what i saw. sigh. i just hope justice is preserved.cliche. i was really lethargic cos i didn't have anything to eat, but still paid attention during physics. last two hours past by reeeeeaaallllyyyyyy slowly, and the only thing that happened today that woke me up was getting a 38/50 for an english comprehension, one of my better scores. then there was a logistics meeting in the den after school, which was really easy cos everyone was very efficient. good job and thanx for helping out guys! session ensued, and cos of the pryaer we made, all of us improved a lot. yuan hao did a brilliant hollow, and i managed to do my handstand! i've resolved to be able to do a proper L-kick before RI 02, or latest by Barker Campfire. yeah. quite fun.

now onto the topic of discussion. i was playing with a spider during recess yesterday, and i think it trusted me so much that it started spinning a web from my finger. at that point, and after witnessing today's fight, i realised how fragile life is. with the spider's body in my palm, all i needed to do was contract a couple of muscles and i would have just ended a life. the same thing for beating people. during those moments, the victim was at the aggressor's mercy, and he had the power to reduce the victim to a vegetable for the rest of his life, like a living death. the only worse thing than physical harm is emotinal or mental harm. putting down someone is worse than beating them up. the body will recover. the mind, however, will not. a bully can and will have dramatic effects in a person's life, as i saw in the movie 'the benchwarmers'. mental torture is far worse, as you are degrading the person's spirit, and the very core of his being. once degraded, it is very hard to, or may never even regenerate. although we feel the phrase like 'everyone hates you' is not a big deal, it is to some people, who are very sensitive and may turn depressed, or even suicidal, if he/she heard those words from a close friend. we have to weigh our words very carefully when we speak. the Bible says the tongue is the most powerful part of the body, as a king can end lives with just a few words, and Jesus can heal a person with just a few movements of his lips. what we say can affect the people around us, whether for the better or for the worse. my point is that life is extremely fragile, and should consider how others would react to what you say before you actually say it, or in this case, act to what you do before you actually do it.

fittingly, the quote for today is ' Think before you speak' .The lame quote is ' It's very easy to be wise. Just think of something stupid to say and don't say it '. have fun!
