today was a fun day at school. i missed the WHOLE of chapel because i had to escort robin to his class by request of mr bongard. we then had chinese, where i forgot that i had 听写 and didn't study till like 10 minutes before it started. but i was, as nicholas ng put it ,'in the zone' and managed to write all the words. woots! anyway, a 20 min recess ensued and we had chem after that. we then had bio prac where we had to conduct tests on mealworms regarding respiration. some of my #!$% classmates were SO sadistic that they were either freezing it or poking it with the hypodermic needle provided. i swear it was one of the meanest things to do. mine survived though. quite happy about that. although in an attempt to prevent my friend from squishing it, i was pricked by the furshlinging needle. hopefully it wasn't rusty and didn't have any mealworm guts on it. we then had lit where we did macbeth. again. after that we had english. our teacher returned us our class tests. i got 19/25, better than expected. woots! we then did a summary, under like 20 mins. new record i think. i was rushing like mad cos i was daydreaming and was one of the last to hand it up. we then had one of the most memorable geog lessons ever. our teacher came in on an empty stomach, so we all thought he would be a bit moody. he wasn't. in the last 20 mins, he gave a sweet to suraj. then wycliffe said he wnated one so he gave one to him too. we were all like 'wha??'. then he passed the sweets around and let all of us take one! that was really a pleasant surprise. he then handed out more sweets to those who answered the questions correctly. really cool. maybe he was hungry, cos he started eating sweets first. anyway, i hope he gets hungry more often :P
the quote for the day is actually a part of the movie 'love actually'. makes a lot of sense, especially the second last verse. ciao!
Sam: OK. The truth is actually... I'm in love.
Daniel: Sorry?
Sam: I know I should be thinking about Mum all the time, and I am. But the truth is I'm in love and I was before she died, and there's nothing I can do about it.
Daniel: Aren't you a bit young to be in love?
Sam: No.
Daniel: Oh, OK, right. Well, I'm a little relieved.
Sam: Why?
Daniel: Well, you know - I thought it might be something worse.
Sam: [incredulous] Worse than the total agony of being in love?
Daniel: Oh. No, you're right. Yeah, total agony.
