two thumbs up for today's rugby-win holiday. overslept so i was late for pioneering at sch today. to avoid another smoke-induced headache cos of cooking, i went to the esplanade with cliff and fred thong to session. quite a cool experience cos it was really fun. and i learnt quite a lot of stuff today. and improved my handstands. too bad s0ng wasn't there though. i then went to raffles town club to have dinner with the 'rents.
something that made me think the other day. a lot of people associate bboys with gangsters, delinquents and what not. i think that's a stereotype that actually hurts a bit. cos today was only an acsi holiday, and a lot of onlookers were staring at us, as if we were skipping school. i don't blame them, but their stares, i feel, wasn't out of amzement, but out of condemnation. hmm. something to ponder on. that made me realize that the small things we do not only affect us but also the others around us, and whether we like it or not, public opinion of us is a real issue. which really sucks cos because of the few bad apples, the rest suffer. which is like equal misery. and if i express my opinions on what i'm thinking now, i'll get scolded. and not by my parents. we're taught to express our opinions, and although they say there will be no repercussions, there are. you'll get blackmarked. you'll get punished. we're not supposed to air the dirty laundry. even if it's true. for the sake of face, people will go to great lengths of injustice. that's just my opinion. and it's disturbed me. i'm telling you, the whole system is flawed.
